Cardiff University student in the final of the engineering SET Awards

Brian Boye a student at Cardiff University has got through to the final of the Science, Engineering & Technology (SET) Students of the Year Awards Engineering Award, sponsored by the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE). The awards are for outstanding undergraduates in the engineering field and Brian will be one of three short-listed in civil engineering contestants to go to London for the final on 20 September.

Brian aged 23 is originally from Ghana and has currently completed his five-year MEng Civil Engineering course at Cardiff University, graduating with first class honours. He was nominated for his project; Modelling of tidal currents in estuarine waters by his lecturer Professor Roger Falconer.
